Waterford

Founded in 1912, Waterford Golf Club is situated on a hill overlooking the historic city of Waterford in the sunny south east of Ireland. Attractive parkland course designed by the great champion James Braid who was Open Champion on five occasions. Waterford is particularly renowned for the quality of its greens and for its friendly atmosphere. The first nine demands accuracy from the tee. The back nine are more forgiving and feature a great closing stretch with a classic finishing hole. Here the drive is struck from an elevated tee, with 360 degree view, to a narrow fairway which winds its way downhill, between score threatening gorse, to a receptive green 400 yards away.
