Welcome to England

London is best known as one of the world’s leading cosmopolitan cities, but it is also encircled by some truly extraordinary golf courses within the counties of Kent, Surrey and Berkshire.  World renowned courses such as Royal St. Georges, Wentworth, Walton Heath, Sunningdale and The Grove are golfing landmarks.

 Kent’s reputation as one of England’s great golfing counties has been built around a three mile stretch of links land.  Within this short distance lie three Open Championship courses, Princes’s (1932), Royal Cinque Ports (1909 and 1920) and current British Open venue Royal St. Georges. Indeed Royal St. George’s has hosted the Open Championship on 14 occasions.    

The Greater London area and the counties of Surreys and Berkshire have a collection of heathland layouts.  Wentworth, Walton Heath and Sunningdale Old are fixtures among the world's top 100. Others that must be mentioned Swinley Forest, West Sussex and The Grove.

Endless golfing delights are complemented by the famous culture, sights and nightlife of London, making it a phenomenal golf tour destination.  All eyes are on London this year as the city hosts the Summer Olympic Games.    

The town of Southport is located on the Irish Sea and home to the UK’s highest concentration of championship links courses.

This stretch of links land can run for 50 miles fulfilling your appetite with one great championship course after another, indeed 3 of the golf courses in this area are Open Championship venues, Royal Birkale, Royal Lytham & St. Annes and Royal Liverpool. More are regular Open qualifying courses. Hillside, Formby, Hesketh, Southport & Ainsdale, West Lancashire and Wallasey are all superb providing a challenge to the most accomplished golfer.
