• Check your Passport to ensure that it is current and valid. No exceptions will be made.
  • Check your airline tickets to ensure that the name on the ticket exactly matches the name on your Passport.
  • JD Golf Tours strongly recommend clients arrange their own individual Travel Insurance before they travel.
  • MasterCard and Visa credit cards are accepted almost anywhere. American Express is also welcome at many places but not as commonly as the former two cards.
  • The currency in the Republic of Ireland is Euro. ATM machines are plentiful.
  • The currency in Northern Ireland is Sterling. ATM machines are plentiful.
  • The currency in the UK is Sterling. ATM machines are plentiful.
  • The currency in Spain and Portugal is Euro. ATM machines are plentiful
  • It is recommended that all Golfers carry a current Handicap Certificate (or Ghin card). Handicap Certificates are required for golf vacations to Scotland and England. Handicap restrictions may apply to some golf courses, JD Golf Tours will advise you on handicap restrictions.
  • Golfing attire is acceptable on all golf courses.
  • Caddies are available. It is recommended caddies are requested in advance however they cannot always be guaranteed. Caddies are self-employed and not employed directly by the golf clubs.
  • Buggies/carts are not as common as caddies and can be limited. JD Golf Tours will best advise you.
  • The electrical current varies from country to country. Please ensure you carry the correct voltage converter and adapter plugs for your destination. Travel stores and large department stores carry these items.
  • If on a self-drive vacation please bring your current and valid Driving License. For your golf club travel case, please use a soft case travel glove as hard cases will not fit in the rental vehicle.
  • Take a good supply of golf balls. Golf balls are expensive in Europe. Depending on the time of year and the destination you choose, wise to bring a good rain suit. Please bring sun cream. We suggest each person brings two pairs of golf shoes.
  • If you wear glasses, take a spare pair. If you take medication be sure to take a good supply with you as you may not be able to refill a prescription while in Europe.
