Course Quote

"The course has a popular reputation with big hitters, who relish the long meandering fairways"

Connemara (Ballyconneely)

Another superbly designed Eddie Hackett course, this has been sited in an area of true natural beauty. The Twelve Bens Mountains provide the backdrop for Connemara Golf Course as it looks out over the Atlantic Ocean toward the USA. This demanding course culminates in a particularly tough series of holes from the 13th to the 18th. For those seeking a less challenging game, the new 9 holes laid by the seashore are less daunting. The Irish Professional Match Play Championship was won here by Des Smyth in 1980.
